Heyland & Whittle

ECO COLLECTION

Having long-established their core range success, a loyal customer base and an authentic standing as a caring, high-quality brand, Heyland & Whittle approached me to help them launch a new, eco-focused product range.

Elegantly eco: soft and sustainable.

Previous eco collection concepts had lacked that Heyland & Whittle touch.

Sustainably sourced, cruelty and palm oil free, using only natural ingredients and essential oils, these ethical, nourishing soaps called for soft, earthy hues and delicate illustration. Moving away from done-to-death rawboard and stamping, we worked organically to bring this new range to life, weaving living shapes and colours of change into the existing Heyland & Whittle narrative.

Each pack type is printed on uncoated stock and has a collection of engaging illustrations inspired by ingredients, as well as some lovely final touches (such as an embossed seal) guaranteed to appeal.

The Brightleaf answer? A gentle, genuine, eco subrange identity retaining the premium feel of this local, loved brand.

Convenient brand elements:

The illustrations needed to work across different product subranges - such as mini soap packs, candle straps and diffuser boxes.

As such, I created each illustration as a set of modular clusters. They can be separated, resized and repositioned easily, making them very flexible brand assets.

Produced for print:

My long-term experience in packaging design allowed me to work to the provided cutters, print specs and colour profiles required by the job, always ensuring the files are practical (and prepared) for print.

The Eco Collection continues to launch each new product with gentle success.

Even under the pandemic, the collection is thriving and yards ahead of sales targets.
